Lauren Marie Sciarra is the Owner and President of Greenprints Design Studio, where she also serves as Head Interior Designer. With over 25 years of experience in the interior design industry, Lauren is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and a recognized expert in residential design, kitchen and bath design, and renovation management.
A Passion for Design, A Legacy of Dedication
Lauren began her academic journey studying Advertising at The Pennsylvania State University, but her true passion for interior design soon became undeniable. Since Penn State did not offer an Interior Design program, she made the pivotal decision to transfer to the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, Florida—a CIDA (formerly FIDER) accredited institution—where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interior Design.
Her career began in New Jersey, where she gained valuable experience working for both commercial interior design and architectural firms. After several years in the commercial sector, Lauren followed her calling to residential interior design, where creativity and personal connection could flourish.
Professional Experience and Expertise
Lauren’s extensive design expertise was further refined during her tenure with Lowe’s Home Improvement Corporation, where she led the Kitchen & Bath Renovation Program (PSI Program) across multiple locations in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
As the Founder and Senior Lead Designer of Greenprints Design Studio, Lauren and her team specialize in:
- Residential interior design
- Kitchen and bathroom design
- Custom and semi-custom cabinetry
- Home renovations and additions
- Project management and space planning
Her passion lies in space planning and project management, where she transforms ideas into well-balanced, functional, and beautiful spaces. Lauren’s ability to build genuine relationships often turns client partnerships into lasting friendships—an outcome rooted in her core belief:

Built on Hard Work and Heart
Lauren grew up in a blue-collar family surrounded by craftsmanship—her grandfather and extended family were skilled carpenters and contractors. Her parents, both licensed therapists, modeled resilience and determination by working multiple jobs and pursuing graduate studies while raising a family.
These early influences shaped Lauren’s strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence. She puts her heart into every project, ensuring each client feels supported, informed, and delighted from concept to completion.

Design Philosophy
Lauren’s personal design style is eclectic, but she firmly believes that great design begins with listening. Every project reflects her clients’ individual tastes, needs, and lifestyles—not her own. For clients unsure of their preferred style, she skillfully guides them through a personalized discovery process to help uncover their unique aesthetic.
Her goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel authentic, timeless, and deeply personal.
Life Beyond Design
Outside the studio, Lauren’s most cherished role is “Mom.” She and her daughter, Isabella, along with their dogs, Finnie and Lola, call the Philadelphia suburbs home. Having lived throughout the Main Line, the suburbs, and the city, Lauren has proudly built strong roots in the City of Brotherly Love—a place she holds close to her heart.
As a proud Philadelphian and the President of a Woman-Owned Business, Lauren remains deeply committed to her community and to empowering other women in design and business.

From launching her business at just 24 years old to leading a thriving design studio today, Lauren continues to live the dream she once envisioned—owning and operating her own interior design company.
Driven by her motto, “Work Hard, Play Hard,” Lauren balances her professional and personal life with gratitude and joy. Each day, she feels fortunate to wake up and do what she loves—bringing design dreams to life for her clients across the region.

Based in Pennsylvania, Greenprints Design Studio proudly serves clients throughout the East Coast, including New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. Our team also provides virtual design services to clients nationwide, including those on the West Coast.
