Lauren Marie Sciarra is both the Owner and President of Greenprints Design Studio and the Head Interior Designer. Lauren has a total of twenty-three years of interior design experience working in the industry and is also an Allied Member of ASID. Lauren, an entrepreneur, who opened her first design business at the age twenty-four, is now an established Residential Interior Designer and Kitchen & Bath Designer. Although Lauren began her undergraduate studies majoring in Advertising at The Pennsylvania State University, State College, she had to make a difficult decision to transfer from PSU to pursue her passion for Interior Design. Since Penn State did not offer an Interior Design Undergraduate program, Lauren has to transfer to another college in order to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts [BFA] in Interior Design, Lauren transferred to the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, Florida, a CIDA (formerly FIDER) accredited college. Lauren acquired her undergraduate degree, a BFA in Interior Design before moving back to Pennsylvania. Lauren began her career in New Jersey working for a Commercial Interior Design Firm and eventually an Architectural Firm. After several years of designing in the commercial sector, Lauren transitioned into the residential interior design industry. Lauren currently focuses primarily on residential design, kitchen and bathroom design, custom and semi-custom cabinetry projects, large renovations, and home additions. Both project management and space planning are Lauren's true design passions and although she has training in many interior design specialties, creating floor plans for her clients is still the most exciting part of her job. Many of Lauren's professional relationships with her clients have turned into strong and long-lasting friendships over the years. One of Lauren's core beliefs is treating people how you want to be treated. Lauren grew up in a blue-collar family, whose grandfather and extended family were carpenters and contractors. Lauren was also raised by two parents who were both licensed and highly educated therapists who juggled second jobs and attended graduate school at night while raising a family. Lauren's parents instilled a profound work ethic in her and she puts her heart and soul into her business daily. Excellent customer service is Lauren's top business priority, and she strives to go above and beyond to make sure each client is both pleased and thrilled throughout each renovation project. She is extremely passionate about the business that she created, and Lauren loves the interior design career that she chose so she is still waking up every day actually enjoying what she does, which is rare for most. Lauren's "Dream Job" was to one day own and operate her own Interior Design Company and she is both grateful and blessed that she achieved her career goal and she still living her "dream" every day. Lauren still lives daily by the "Work Hard, Play Hard" mantra and like most professionals, she promotes work-life balance, which is more challenging for business owners. Lauren's design style is eclectic; however, she never designs based on her taste and she prides herself for listening to her clients and she designs according to their style. If her client doesn't have a "style" established, Lauren helps her client discover their design preferences and personality. In addition to running a full-time interior design business, Lauren also runs a very busy household under the title of "Mom," which still remains her most challenging, yet rewarding job. Lauren and her daughter, Isabella, along with their adorable pups, Finnie & Lola currently reside in the Philadelphia suburbs. Lauren moved to the Philly area over fifteen years ago and has resided several towns both on the Main Line, suburbs and Philadelphia, City of Brotherly Love. Philadelphia is still Lauren's favorite US city, and she has spent years creating deep roots for her home, family, village clients and her business and she proud to be a Philadelphian and the President of a Woman-Owned Business.
